Hello friends! We hope you're having a blessed morning. 🙏
We'd love to share yesterday's service with you on our YouTube page. 😊✝
For this service, we continued ahead with our long-running series, Roaming Through Romans, starting a new chapter — Romans 13 — and beginning a new topic, titled "Subjection to God & the State". This is our first week covering this topic, and the 80th week with Roaming Through Romans overall. We also sang hymns "Love Lifted Me", "When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder", and "The Old Rugged Cross". All hymns are taken from the 1991 edition of the Baptist Hymnal.
For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you. The authorities are God’s servants, sent for your good. But if you are doing wrong, of course you should be afraid, for they have the power to punish you. They are God’s servants, sent for the very purpose of punishing those who do what is wrong. (Romans 13:3-4 NLT)
