For this service, we continued along in our current series, Roaming Through Romans, finishing up last week's topic, "Subjection to God & the State". This was our second week covering this topic, and our 82nd week for Roaming Through Romans overall. We also sang hymns "Sunshine in My Soul", "Jesus Is All the World to Me", and "There Is Power in the Blood". All hymns are taken from the 1991 edition of the Baptist Hymnal.
Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord. Instead, “If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals of shame on their heads.” (Romans 12:19-20 NLT)
