For this service, we began a new topic, "When Is It Right to Repay Evil with Pain?", in our long-running series, Roaming Through Romans. This is our first week covering this topic, and our 78th week overall with Roaming Through Romans. We also sang hymns "He Leadeth Me!", "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross", and "Sunshine in My Soul". All hymns are taken from the 1991 edition of the Baptist Hymnal.
“But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, offer the other cheek also. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also.
